The pronounciation of "gudeg" is Gudêg (like eh sound) not Gudég (like pokémon sound), just information ✌️ and thank you for tasting the indonesian food. Btw, if you eat gudeg, eat it with rice so that's not too sweet 🙂

You had gudheg kering. You should’ve tried gudheg basah instead. Gudheg kering is way too sweet and dry. Anyway kering means dry and basah means wet literally. Gudheg basah taste more savory and creamy and full of coconut milk. Have a good trip🤘🏻
You should try ayam suharti in Jogja. Their "kremes" (crunchy toppings) is number 1 in Indonesia. And for gudeg, there is a special gudeg called gudeg mercon mbok tinah that's only open at night.
