A disclaimer for the Ayam Goreng Nikmat restaurant, the black oil is due to the use of kecap manis / sweet soy sauce from the marinated chicken, thats why it became dark colored oil, dont worry its always a fresh oil everyday since I’m a regular customer

But you should travel to North Sulawesi (Manado) or East of Indonesia also; you will find different style of food there.

If you ever go to Bandung (again), consider trying Es Sekoteng Mang Oyen @ Taman Pramuka as dessert. It's super satisfying especially after Bu Imas lunch on a hot summer day 😋
